On Wednesday, February 23rd, thousands of people gathered to celebrate and remember the lives of our friends Chris Rudolph, Jim Jack, and Johnny Brenan.  In the wake of an unprecedented tragedy came an equally tremendous outpouring of love and grief as friends, family, and community members came together to memorialize and embrace.

The evening included an open mike for friends and families to share stories and was topped off with a torchlight run down the big hill.  After hundreds of skiers and snowboarders made their way down the hill and the area was once again dark, three large torches were lit at the top to commemorate each of these men.

We think it’s fair to say that everyone who attended felt especially touched by the feelings of love and warmth in the air.  It’s times like these that remind us how lucky we are to be a part of such an amazing community.  Jim Jack, Johnny, and Chris touched so many people far and wide and united us all by providing inspiration that will live on.

We were left not only with sadness for our loss, but also with the inspiration to live life like these three did-to approach life head on with a giant smile, to have passion for all that we do, and to pull those around us a little closer.
