A rock slide up the Icicle River Road greeted residents of the mountain canyon this morning, blocking traffic and creating quite the mess.

Several giant boulders tumbled onto the road bed just upstream of the Snow Creek parking lot. This area is a site of frequent rockfall, regularly shedding the granite boulders perilously clinging to the hillside. Crews are expected to clean up the debris soon. Icicle TV will keep you updated. On a side note, our reporter walked by this area yesterday and witnessed several small rocks falling, creating a somewhat ominous feeling.
