I arrived in Zurich Switzerland on January 29th to meet up with Patagonia Ambassador Bryce Phillips, super athlete Phil Meier and master photographer Damien Cromwell. Damien and I met up at the Zurich airport and jumped on a train heading to the famous Arlberg region in the Austrian Alps. We would then have 1 day to ski while Bryce and Phil drove down from ISPO in Munich to meet us the following day.
I have to say it was quite a special day with perfect conditions and a wonderful intro to the region. Damien and I shot mostly a bunch of scenics but we did sneak in a couple action shots of each other. After a high energy day we finished it off with one of the best parties I have ever witnessed. The Après-ski scene is out of control! Techno beats and hundreds of happy people filled up with joy and laughter. Fists pumping and ski boots dancing! Great day one! My mission is to shoot video but for now here are some still images from the day. More soon...
